NINA'S FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!

For Nina's first birthday her grandparents flew in from Cleveland. The weather had just gotten to where one could leave the house. Nina was really sick with a bad cold on her birthday so we decided to take it slow and stretch the birthday fun over the following days. She opened some of her cards and presents on the 3rd and finished with the rest and cake 2 days later.

I recently got a new food processor and made yummy carrot cake the other day...while some people had fun with just the box...

This and that

The weekend before Nina's birthday and before everybody got sick we had lots of snow. We dared it once and went for a walk in the snow. Nina wore her (slightly too large) big bear suit which kept her snuggly warm. We also did a lot of fun crafting at home. I made a birthday crown and decorations for Nina's big day (to admire in the Birthday blog), Eric sewed patches onto his new coveralls all by himself and Nina just looked cute.
