Schnitzel by the beach!!!

Leftovers from last night!

So far Eric's enjoyng the new challenge. This Monday he starts "flying" the simulator. After that he's going back to real aircrafts- learning how to fly the C12.

The weekend

Friday Mom and I took Nelson to the beach. It was a gorgeous day- 77 F!!!!! We really enjoyed it and Nelson had a blast in the water and the beach:











Friday night Eric finally arrived and we all were very happy!!!!!
The next day Eric and I took Nelson to the beach- at 44 F!!!!!!!!
We still had a good time.







In the afternoon we decided to play nine holes of golf at Emerald Bay Golf Course.











We all had a blast and the weather was perfect for playing golf!





After golfing we decided to have a (or more) drink(s) at the WHALE-STAIL (what's a stail???) at the beach.








Back home Mom made SCHNITZEL MIT BRATKARTOFFELN!!!! Eric and I were in heaven.

Ma and Vic on tour

Friday morning Ma and I hit the road to Florida. We left Sierra Vista with a fully loaded car. Nelson had the trunk to himself and all our bags etc. were stacked on the backseat.



The roads changed and so did the landscapes.





Our first night we spent in Ft. Stockton, TX- the second night we stayed near Houston, TX until we finally made it to friends' house in Mandeville, LA. Hans and Faith have a great and beautifully decorated new house by lake Ponchatrain (???)- it's soooooo nice there!!!!! We had a great day and a half in Louisiana!



Nelson loved the living room (everything is open!! -so he had his beloved great overview and plenty of choices for his nap spaces) and we enjoyed the great atmosphere by the fireplace, ...Coco, the dog of the house, was still the queen though!!!

Thank you so much, Faith and Hans, we really enjoyed your hospitality!

Ma and I hit the road again on Tuesday morning.
All our trips usually take a little longer because we stop frequently for potty-, sniffing-, coffee- and outlet center breaks.
Tuesday in the late afternoon we finally arrive in Destin, FL. We booked a two bedroom condo in a pet friendly appartment complex by the beach. As we arrived the sun was already down so we could hardly enjoy the view. We all were very tired- Nelson the most, ...I guess he had the most exciting and stressful time napping in the back of the car for 6 hours.



The next morning though....



All the windows in the condo have a georgeous view!!!!

So far we're having a good time and can't wait to explore the area!

Halloween

I hope everybody had the same fun dressing up as Nelson and I did! Friday evening we dressed up as bat and bat-dog!



Nelson wore a batman-t-shirt from the thrift store and his blinky-collar. My wings were black trash bags taped to my shirt and my ears (as well as Nelson's "magic breast shield/plate") were made from foam sheets.



We went Trick-Or-Treating with Liam aka Batboy, Christine aka Batgirl and Nolan aka Joker:











We all looked great and had a lot of fun!





We even met another Batboy!!!



Batyboy was awesome! He was fast and saved me and Nelson from all kinds of evil powers!!



Joker was really scary!!!!



But came in handy as Batboy was a little tired....I think Batboy put a spell on him!?



After Trick-Or-Treating we went to the "Bat-family's" home and had a little party. There was a lot of yummy food/drinks -> Gluehwein, cheeses, chicken wings, bread, ham, chicken, fruit, .... (Nelson found and chased his first treat that night- a grape!)



Christine had prepared a Halloween pinata for later that night and Nolan tied it on to the tree. Meanwhile his can of beer got knocked over by accident and Nelson slobbered about 1/3 of it- he seemed to really enjoy it!....that was Nelson's second treat!
Tony's daughter hit the pinata really hard with her "Supergirl-powers" and the candy went all over the place. Nelson snitched half of the pinata shell that fell on the ground...





...and went to town!



CRAZY-HOUND!!!!!!



That was Nelson's third treat!!! ...the beer really got him I guess!!!

After the the pinata and a few more drinks the donut game was on:











Nelson was just watching.....still under influence:



....until pieces of donuts kept raining from the tree!....man he was fast!





After his 4th treat Nelson was on a sugar/alcohol high, jumped around like crazy-hound and played with Liam!

It was a great Halloween night!
