The roads changed and so did the landscapes.
Our first night we spent in Ft. Stockton, TX- the second night we stayed near Houston, TX until we finally made it to friends' house in Mandeville, LA. Hans and Faith have a great and beautifully decorated new house by lake Ponchatrain (???)- it's soooooo nice there!!!!! We had a great day and a half in Louisiana!
Nelson loved the living room (everything is open!! -so he had his beloved great overview and plenty of choices for his nap spaces) and we enjoyed the great atmosphere by the fireplace, ...Coco, the dog of the house, was still the queen though!!!

Ma and I hit the road again on Tuesday morning.
All our trips usually take a little longer because we stop frequently for potty-, sniffing-, coffee- and outlet center breaks.
Tuesday in the late afternoon we finally arrive in Destin, FL. We booked a two bedroom condo in a pet friendly appartment complex by the beach. As we arrived the sun was already down so we could hardly enjoy the view. We all were very tired- Nelson the most, ...I guess he had the most exciting and stressful time napping in the back of the car for 6 hours.
The next morning though....
All the windows in the condo have a georgeous view!!!!
