Deutschland

Last Thursday I finally got to Germany. On Friday my Grandfather turned 90 and we had a great party- of course I didn't take many pictures because I was busy cuddeling and hugging everybody...especially my little nephew Paul:

Then on Saturday I met with my dear friend Jana. We had lunch at a cafe in Neumarkt's city center and did some people watching...a typical German activity!

I really enjoyed seeing some real German everyday lifes.

Today (Sunday)I went to my sister's house and we had some yummy afternoon coffee while Paul entertained us (with his, I wonder from whom inherited, dorkiness????)!!!

Then my sister, her husband, little Paul and I went to our city's spring festival (Fruehlingsfest). We all had a blast! We started with watching some animals.

Then we were hungry and "went to town" on several goodies -> German fast food! Of course I had to have it all!!!! Emmentaler und Leerdammer mit Brezeln, a Mass Bier and Currywurst mit Pommes!!!!

It was a great day! On the way back to the car Paul had fun watching cars as we crossed a bridge. I tried to shoot a little video of him here as well but forgot to rotate my camera. I loooove the little clip though and want to share it with all of you- just "do the Nelson" and tilt your heads, please!

Vicki,

Glad to see and hear that you are enjoying your visit with family in your homeland. I'm sure everyone is very glad to see you! You are enjoying many of my favorites as well; toddlers, good fast food and good bier!

Please send our regards to your family. We hope to have the opportunity to meet them again in the near future.

Hugs,

Charlie
