It's been a loooong time.....

...since I updated the blog. Well, a lot of things happened and I was buuuuusy....., well, and a little lazy too! Last Sunday a week ago Eric and Nelson came to Richmond to pick me up. The German Academy's closing ceremony was done at around 2pm. There were a lot of tears and good-bye hugs. The kids didn't really want to leave. It was almost heartbreaking to see them having to leave their "new German family". I was ready to go back to my "normal" life though. "Normal" as in living in a hotel with Eric and Nelson for the 3rd time in 8 months. This time we're in Hagerstown, Maryland. Eric completes his flight training here before he will deploy to Afghanistan. His schedule is very irregular because the aircraft is constantly undergoing maintenance checks which are not very precictable. He's flying days as well as nights and as of now already feels pretty comfortable flying the KingAir 300.
Since I am here I started crocheting!!! Yesssss- I crochet now and so far I like it! I got the wool from Michaels and started working on a throw- then Michaels ran out of the wool I was using....OF COURSE!!!!!! Beginner's luck! I hope to find another Michaels close to Hagerstown to get my material soon- crocheting is kind of addictive!!! I also started another project:

Yes, once finished those two pieces are supposed to become baby booties!!!!!
We found out in May that we are pregnant!!! Everything is fine but we were both annoyed that I couldn't get an appointment back in Killeen before leaving for the German Academy because I was "only" 7 weeks along (too early for a check up I was told). We didn't know then what would happen after the Academy - where we/I would be. So- here in Hagerstown, away from "our" post, we had to figure something out to see our baby and get a check up. Luckily Brian and Michelle live in Gaithersburg not far from Hagerstown. Brian is Eric's very good friend and coincidentally working at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. He managed to get us an appointment. THANKS, BRIAN!!! Here's a picture of our little one:

At the time the "picture" was taken the doctor said I was 11 weeks and 3 days along. This past Monday we hit the 12 week mark!!! I have been feeling sick only a little but feel like a big old slug all the time. Both of our families are really happy but my mother-in-law is worried that my sister-in-law and I will give birth on the same day! Yes, Matt and Diana are also expecting and we are less than two weeks apart. Eric and I are getting more excited every day. Wish us luck on our newest adventure.
