Every day life

In January 2006 I started to work with Dr. Dvorak and Julia (a good German friend who was also a VCU student) on the organization for the Virginia Governor's Foreign Language Academy 2006, which was all new and exciting for me as well. At that time the Academies took place every June/July at VCU. I loved to be there and work for the Academies. The times with Dr. Dvorak and Julia in the Academy office (with our cups of coffee) were always great. I felt good and was very happy with all the people around me: Travis, Kevin, Christiane, Sharon and Diane, Thomas and of course a lot more individuals, whom I can't mention here without running out of space.

At the same time Eric had to be in Washington State from June until August and for the first time I was all by myself in America. Right after the Academies I flew to Germany to see my family. I'd been looking forward to seeing them soooo much. Especially because I wanted to tell them all about my "new" exiting life and of course because I missed them sooooooooo much. I had a great time there and was very happy to see all of the people I love and care about. It was weird to be back though. I felt a little like a guest in my own country at first. Oh, well- things change......and I've always liked change.
After my time in Germany and a lot of tears I flew back to the States where Eric was waiting to pick me up. I was so excited to see and cuddle him after such a long time!
